Key result areas for this head of business unit position will include:

·          Marketing Business Partners’ investment solutions for the Business Unit and building sound relationships with clients and role players

·          Sourcing and structuring sound business deals to optimize returns and increase the number of SMEs profitably invested in by Business Partners

·          Chairing Regional Investment Committees, interacting with the Consulting Services Manager/s to ensure that the risks are managed effectively, and assuming full responsibility for the income statement of the Business Unit as well as the funds under management.

·          Effectively managing human resources by recruiting good people, training them, investing in them and retaining them so that they, in turn, can continuously find good entrepreneurial businesses to invest in and add value to.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification and preferably have completed management studies. The individual will be results focused, with a passion for client service, excellent communication skills, solid negotiation skills and a track record of excellent investment decision-making abilities. Hands-on deal-making, commercial experience in key investment sectors and management experience will be an advantage.

The position reports directly to the Executive Director: Business Investments. It is envisaged that this position will be filled by January 2012. The remuneration package is commensurate with the seniority of the  position.
