Full SAVCA membership fees are calculated as follows

•           Funds under management or cost of investment made of R100 million or less - R 6 000.00 per annum excl VAT

•           Funds under management or cost of investment made of between R100 million to R250 million - R 14 000.00 per annum excl VAT

•           Funds under management or cost of investment made of between R250 million R 500 million - R 18 000.00 per annum excl VAT

•           Funds under management or cost of investment made of between R 500 million to R 1 billion - R 28 500.00 per annum excl VAT

•           Funds under management or cost of investment made of between R 1 billion to R 2.5 billion - R 50 000.00 per annum excl VAT

•           Funds under management or cost of investment made of greater than R 2.5 billion - R 70 000.00 per annum excl VAT

Full membership of SAVCA is open to entities that pass three tests*

1.     Principal business - the management of capital (3rd party and/or proprietary capital) for investment (equity or quasi equity) in predominately unlisted companies; and

2.     Employs professionals - dedicated to the management of the capital and the investments made using the capital (and capital from other providers); and

3.     Generates returns - mainly through medium to long term returns on investment and/or social development returns.

*Individual fund managers register for membership

The Associate membership fees for 2010 will be as follows:

•          Members with less than 10 Professionals - R 3 000.00 per annum (excluding VAT)

•          Members with more than 10 Professionals - R 6 000.00 per annum (excluding VAT)
