Call for Proposals: IFC SME Ventures Fund |

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is establishing a new IFC SME Ventures Fund, an innovative and catalytic fund that will invest $50 million in Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) across 8 low-income countries.
The IFC is now seeking Investment Managers for the IFC SME Ventures Fund which will invest in SMEs in low-income countries by providing a combination of risk capital and advisory services. The establishment of the SME Ventures Fund presents a unique opportunity to catalyze growth in the SME segment and is focused on the following countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Nepal, Sierra Leone, and Yemen.
The Call for Proposals will be issued before the end of 2008 and the selection of Investment Managers is expected by the end of March 2009.
